The tri-lobe Roots blower has one more lobe than the two-lobe Roots blower, thereby changing the effective volume from two equal parts to three equal parts, reducing the pulsation of the output airflow pressure, and the volume of the exhaust chamber is returned through the impeller gap. The gas flow in the air chamber is reduced, the disturbance of the gas is reduced, and the pulsating pressure of the gas is reduced, thereby reducing the vibration of the Roots blower.
There are also the following differences between the two:
(1) In the same case of the center-to-center and outer-circle radius, the arc-lobe type three-lobe Roots blower is larger than the two-lobe.
(2) The mechanical properties of the three-lobe rotor are better, and the gap between the impeller and the impeller and the casing can be better guaranteed than that of the two-lobe.
(3) Due to the characteristics of the lobe type, the three-lobe pulsation is better than the two lobe, so the most obvious advantage is that the vibration and noise are greatly reduced, and the noise is effectively reduced by more than 20 decibels.
(4) The life of the bearing used on the three-lobe rotor is about 15% longer than that used on the two-lobe.
(5) The pressure of three-lobe Roots blower is much higher than that of the two-lobe roots blower.
(6) At the same efficiency, the three-lobe Roots blower is more energy efficient.
(7) In the case of the same gap size and working conditions, the internal leakage flow of the three-lobe roots blower is smaller than that of the two-lobe.
Now the Roots blower on the market, I rarely see the two-leaf Roots blower. The existing two-lobe Roots blower is full of large air capacity, basically replaced by the three-lobe Roots blower.
